Pleasanton Police Make Several Arrests, Discover Outstanding Hit-And-Run Warrant During DUI Patrol

PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police made six DUI arrests at their DUI checkpoint last Friday, the department announced.

Police set up a checkpoint from 6 p.m. to midnight at Santa Rita Road between Rosewood Drive and Pimlico Drive. Over 1,300 drivers came through, and police said they made 6 DUI arrests, issued citations to 21 unlicensed or suspended drivers, and picked up one hit-and-run warrant.

The checkpoint was made possible by the California Highway Patrol Cannabis Tax Fund Grant, and officers from the Livermore Police Department who assisted with the patrol.

The Livermore Police Department announced that it will hold a DUI checkpoint Friday from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. at an undisclosed location in the city. The department said that it will also have additional officers on patrol from Dec. 12 to Jan. 1 looking for impaired drivers as part of their "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.
