PLEASANTON, CA — The City of Pleasanton is recruiting for a police chief to replace David Swing, who retired in April. Since then, former Newark Police Chief Gina Anderson has been serving as interim chief. City spokesperson Teri Yan declined to comment whether Anderson is under consideration to become the permanent chief.
The city is searching for “a visionary servant leader to serve as its next police chief. The ideal candidate must exhibit relentless dedication to delivering extraordinary service customized to community needs and desires. This inspiring professional will have a demonstrated history of advancing technology and contemporary strategies that best serve the department and community. A leadership style that reflects a commitment to high standards and accountability will also be expected.”
The position pays $200,472 to $300,720 a year, plus many benefits.
