Registration Open for adult English as a Second Language Courses

Seven beginner and intermediate courses are offered for the fall by PUSD Pleasanton Adult & Career Education.

Registration for the Pleasanton Unified School District’s (PUSD) adult english as a second language fall courses is now open. Seven courses will be offered for early beginner, beginner and intermediate English language learners as of Aug. 22. Classes are free and offered at a variety of locations.

Adult education classes are offered through the District’s Pleasanton Adult & Career Education (PACE) department, which was brought back after three years last Spring when state funding was renewed.

Classes offered have tripled since last spring due to a significant need in the community, growing from two to seven courses offered.

Available to all residents over the age of 18, each English as a second language class meets twice a week and runs through December.

Future offerings from PACE will include high school equivalency tests as well as classes for adults with disabilities and parent education.
