Sheep On The Ridge: Pleasanton Photos Of The Day

Les Isozaki photographed herds of sheep grazing in Pleasanton over the course of several days.

PLEASANTON, CA — Looks like Pleasanton had a little lamb - well, more than a few. Over several days, Les Isozaki captured several photos of sheep grazing along Pleasanton Ridge. Approximately 65% of land in the East Bay Regional Parks Districts is grazed by 6,000 cattle, 1,500 sheep, and 1,600 goats, often during winter and early spring, according to the parks district. The grazing is designed to reduced fire hazards and get rid of harmful or dead plants to make way for more natural grasslands.

Thanks, Les! If you have any photos of life in Livermore, email Michael.wittner@patch.com.
