Sunol Creek Cleanup Seeking Volunteers
The Alameda County Resource Conservation District is looking for volunteers for a cleanup of Sunol Depot Gardens Creek on Saturday.
SUNOL, CA — The Alameda County Resource Conservation District is looking for volunteers for a cleanup of Sunol Depot Gardens Creek on Saturday.
The creek is adjacent to the Sunol Depot Gardens, a community garden with an arbor/bandstand, a bocce ball court, barbecue grills, a horse shoe pitch, and a walking path.
The cleanup will take place Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. It is open to volunteers 10 and up, though anywhere under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers should wear work clothes, sturdy shoes, bring a full refillable water bottle, and gloves if available.

Organizers will provide trash pickup gear, tools, and sturdy gloves on loan.
