PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police arrested a man they say was stealing tip jars from two local restaurants on Wednesday. Police say the suspect, identified by KTVU as Michael Andrew Grant, threatened violence when staff tried to intervene.

Grant was arrested, taken to Santa Rita Jail, and charged with robbery and criminal threats.
