PLEASANTON, CA — California Highway Patrol detectives arrested a 47-year-old man suspected of shooting two people in two separate incidents along I-680 and I-880 on Aug. 3, the Golden Gate Division announced.
On Saturday, Aug. 3 at around 1:30 p.m., CHP officers responded to calls of a shooting on southbound I-680 near Stoneridge Drive in Pleasanton, according to CHP. The victim was reportedly shot in the shoulder while driving in heavy traffic. About 45 minutes later, CHP officers were called to respond to a second shooting on the Industrial Parkway on-ramp to northbound I-880 in Hayward. The second victim was uninjured.
