Tyler Gebb Tosses 3-Hitter As Foothill Blanks Granada

Jack Basser had three hits including a home run to lead the Falcons offensively.

PLEASANTON, CA — Tyler Gebb tossed a three-hitter, Jack Basser had three hits including a home run, and Foothill High blanked Granada 6-0 in an East Bay Athletic League game Friday.

Gebb (6-0) struck out four batters and walked one in his first career shutout as the Falcons (10-1, 4-0) extended their winning streak to five games.

The junior right-handed pitching sensation lowered his ERA to 0.86. He’s struck out 21 and walked four in 24 1/3 innings.

Basser’s home run was his fifth in 11 games played. He’s batting .395 (15 for 38) with a .750 slugging percentage and a 1.250 OPS.

Evan Bilter and Gabe DeBenedetto each had two hits and one RBI as the Falcons combined for 11 hits.

Foothill broke open a 1-0 game in the top of the fourth, when the Falcons scored four runs. They added a run in the fifth to make it 6-0.

Foothill is scheduled to play host to Dublin (6-4-1, 1-3) Wednesday at 4 p.m.
