Poway School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

POWAY, CA — The first day of school in Poway is August 22 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Poway School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/28: No School (Professional Growth Day)

November

• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day)
• 11/19 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1 - 1/4: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/1: No School
• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Winter Break)

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/13: Last Day of School
