Median Construction In RSM Starts Sept. 22, Expect Lane Closures

The construction on Melinda Road, south of Paseo Alegria, will start on Sept. 22 and continue through Nov. 19.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Drivers, be aware. The Melinda Median Extension Project is commencing on Sept. 22 and will result in single-lane closures along Melina Road, south of Paseo Alegria.

Construction hours will be Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., The City of Rancho Santa Margarita reported Friday. The work will call for single-lane closures in each direction of Melinda Road during construction hours, and may cause heavier traffic in that area for the duration of construction.

The project includes removing the concrete median on Melinda Road and replacing it with a decorative raised medium, the city said.
