RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Traffic on the California State route 241 was slowed for early morning commuters traveling north on the freeway, after a two car crash near Los Alisos Boulevard resulted in several cars getting stuck in mud, the California Highway Patrol reports.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash. The crash occurred at 7:30 a.m., after a white Mercedes and a Tesla collided into a center divider on the freeway, the CHP says. The crash resulted in three lanes on the freeway being blocked.

Cars eager to get away from the scene found themselves in a sticky situation Tuesday morning, the CHP said. Roughly three to four vehicles who attempted to U-turn around the center divider into the southbound side of the freeway got stuck in mud, the CHP says.
