Street Construction On Antonio Parkway: Delays, What To Know

Access to Antonio Parkway for south Orange County residents may be limited during construction. Here's what to know.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — Rancho Santa Margarita residents can expect construction on Antonio Parkway starting August and lasting until September, Orange County Public Works announced.

Public works crews will be hard at work as they complete a "grind and overlay" road resurfacing project along the northern stretch of Antonio Parkway, in the Ladera Ranch and Las Flores areas of Orange County, along with the City of Rancho Santa Margarita.

The construction site starts south of Oso Parkway and continues roughly two miles north, according to OC Public Works.

According to a news release, the construction is scheduled to start Monday and last until September. Construction will start at 8:30 a.m. every weekday and end at 5:30 p.m., according to OC Public Works.

Access to Antonio Parkway for residences and businesses may be limited during construction hours, depending on the site of the work.

The construction site near Las Flores Middle and Elementary schools, between Oso Parkway and Sable, is planned to be completed by Aug. 14.

During construction, crews will adjust utilities, pour crack filling and seal coating and reestablish traffic loops, traffic striping, pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
