Activists Plan Lawsuit Against Redondo Beach Waterfront Project
The activists are calling it their 'insurance policy' in case the ballot measure and their appeal against the project fail.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Slow-growth activists are planning to file a lawsuit against the $400 million redevelopment of the Redondo Beach waterfront and pier, in case the ballot measure and appeal fail, the Daily Breeze reported.
The activists are calling it their "insurance policy." The Redondo Beach City Council rejected Rescue Our Waterfront, Building a Better Redondo and the South Bay Parkland Conservancy's appeal against the project last week.
The waterfront overhaul would transform the area into a "harbor village" with a boutique hotel, public market and movie theater.
