Amber Alert Canceled After Southern California Toddler Found

Authorities asked the public to call 911 if they saw a grey Jeep Renegade.

CALIFORNIA -- An Amber Alert issued Saturday night in Southern California was canceled after authorities found a toddler who was reportedly abducted from Upland.

Xavier Alexander, a 15-month-old boy, and his mother were found safe in Claremont, police tweeted around 10:49 p.m.

The suspect, Brandon Alexander, was taken into custody.

Police said Alexander broke into his ex-girlfriend's home before abducting her and the toddler. He is on probation for domestic violence and his ex-girlfriend had a restraining order issued against him, authorities said.

The alert comes after authorities asked the public to help find a missing 4-year-old girl from Washington state.
