Amanda Kenney of Redondo Beach earned a spot on the academic Dean's List at Azusa Pacific University for the 2011 fall semester.
Kenney, a journalism major, is one of more than 1,750 students to receive a grade-point average of 3.5 or better during the fall semester.
Azusa Pacific University is an evangelical Christian university about 26 miles northeast of Los Angeles. Through its main campus, seven regional centers and online education program, nearly 10,000 students are enrolled.
