Redondo Beach Presidents Day Closures

The third Monday in December is nationally recognized as Presidents Day, celebrated in honor of George Washington's Feb. 22 birthday.

Though Monday is a federal holiday, City Hall will be open during; however, both the Redondo Beach Main Library and the North Branch Library will be closed, according to the city's calendar.

Schools in the Redondo Beach Unified School District will be closed for the holiday, and the U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail.

There will be no street sweeping on Monday, according to a blurb posted on the city's website. The normal street sweeping schedule will resume Tuesday.

Nevertheless, there will be no interruption to residential trash, recycling and curbside compost collection services, according to an email sent Friday from the city of Redondo Beach.
