Athens to Exchange Trash Carts Soon

From Feb. 6 to Feb. 17, Athens Services will be delivering and exchanging new gray and green carts to all single- and multi-family homes in Redondo.

The city of Redondo Beach is reminding residents that Athens Services will be delivering and/or exchanging new gray and green carts to all single- and multi-family homes on their regular collection days from Feb. 6 through Feb. 17.

According to a flier posted on the city's website, residents should make sure they leave both their full and empty carts at the curb before 7 a.m. on their regular collection day. Residents should not put their carts away until they have been exchanged.

Gray carts are to be used for disposing non-recyclable materials like diapers, bathroom waste, cigarette butts, palm fronds, yucca leaves, succulents, kitty litter and other waste materials, according to Athens Services.
