Baleen Boasts Best Breakfasts
Baleen Los Angeles at the Portofino Hotel and Yacht Club takes the top spot in our best breakfast Readers' Choice poll.
Looking for a great spot to grab breakfast this weekend? According to Redondo Beach Patch readers, you can't go wrong with , the restaurant at the waterfront in King Harbor.
"Baleen's staff are marvelous, the harbor view as the sun rose—cheery," wrote commenter . "I dived into one of their omelets and was in Heaven, and even my coffee was exceptionally tasty."
Commenter recommended the restaurant's French toast: "It's the BEST!!!"

Baleen wasn't the only place that did well in our poll. , a mainstay of several local farmers markets, nabbed the No. 2 spot based on one menu item: its chocolate croissants.
"I would travel 1,000 miles, just to get Marsatta chocolate croissants!" wrote commenter .

Riviera Village eatery ended up in third place for its whole wheat pancakes and homemade muffins, while new spot —one of only two North Redondo Beach places nominated—easily took fourth.
