Beaches Fare Better in Latest Testing
The lowest grade a county beach along Redondo's coastline received was a "C," according to the Department of Public Health.

County beaches along Redondo Beach's coastline fared better in the latest round of water testing, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
Based on advisories last updated Monday, the beaches in front of the Herondo Street storm drain and 50 yards north of the Herondo Street storm drain received "A's" based on the 30-day average of bacteria levels detected at each site.
The beach 50 yards south of the Redondo Beach Pier received a "C," and the beach on the north side of the Topaz Jetty received a "B."

Last month, the beach in front of the Herondo Street storm drain received a "C," while the beach The beaches 50 yards south of the pier and on the north side of the Topaz Jetty also received "C's."
No advisories or bacteria-level warnings were posted for the local beaches.
