CBS 2, KCAL 9 Back on Air
Power is restored to KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV after a blackout hit the studios.
South Bay residents who wanted to watch Undercover Boss and CSI: NY on KCBS-TV Channel 2 were disappointed Friday night when a power outage in Studio City knocked the CBS station and sister station KCAL-TV Channel 9 off the air.
Power was restored to KCBS by 9:30 a.m.—in time to watch Blue Bloods on CBS at 10 p.m.—and KCAL9 resumed broadcasting by 10:45 p.m.
KCBS was back on the air by 9:30 p.m., and KCAL9 resumed broadcasting by 10:45 p.m.

Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokeswoman Rosemary Pierson did not know what caused the outage, which began around 8 p.m. at a nearby apartment complex.
