Blotter: Mugging, Stolen Bicycles

It appears to have been a light week as far as Part I crimes are concerned for the , according to the department's Part I crime recap covering June 20 through Monday.
Attempted mugging
Two juveniles tried to mug a person on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Artesia Boulevard in North Redondo Beach on Friday. The would-be muggers were described as Hispanic boys between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. No loss was reported.

Residential burglaries
A specialized mountain bike was stolen from a locked garage in the 1300 block of South Catalina Avenue in South Redondo Beach at some point between Sunday evening and late Monday morning.

A boy is suspected of climbing through an unlocked rear window into a residence in the 1600 block of Stanford and stealing a wallet with cash and gift cards on Sunday evening. A Razor scooter was recovered.
A Giant Sedona bicycle was stolen from an unlocked garage in the 1200 block of Agate Street between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on June 20.
