Bob Leetch Named 'Coach of the Year'
Bob Leetch, who coaches cross country and track and field at Redondo Union High School, is recognized for outstanding work.
Coach Bob Leetch has another honor to add to his resume.
Besides coaching outstanding track and field/cross-country teams over the years and winning Leetch was named the Girls National High School Coach of the Year 2012, courtesy of Gill Athletics, according to the school's track and field/cross-country booster club.
According to Laurie Baker of Run RUHS, Leetch received the call on Thursday notifying him of the award from Gill Athletics.

As part of the honor, Leetch will receive a prize package of $5,000 worth of track and field equipment for Redondo Union.
Gill Athletics will also honor a Boys National High School Coach of the year, in addition to six other regional winners. Leetch was apparently one of eight regional finalists.

Leetch graduated from Redondo Union High School in 1980. He was inducted into the El Camino College Athletics Hall of Fame in May 2005.
