Crash Temporarily Snarls Traffic on Monday

A collision at the intersection of Inglewood Avenue and 182nd Street causes delays in North Redondo Beach.

A two-car collision at about 5:30 p.m. Monday snarled traffic at the intersection of 182nd Street and Inglewood Boulevard in North Redondo Beach, Patch reader Doug Boswell reported.

"(A) big traffic jam ensued, as one car could not be driven out of the intersection," Boswell wrote in the comments of an . "One driver was pretty shook-up, but no one was injured."

The cars were hauled away by 6:20 p.m., and traffic was moving normally, Boswell said.

Boswell, who said he lives on the corner, had previously nominated the intersection as one of the worst in Redondo Beach because of the number of crashes that occur there.

"Mostly fender-benders, but many with serious damage and injury," he wrote in April. "At least one death that I know of. Cars plowing through block walls, street lamps sheared off at the ground."
