'Dine And Dash' Customers Attack Redondo Beach Restaurant Owner

A couple who "dined and dashed" slammed a car into a Redondo Beach restaurant manager who confronted them.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — A Redondo Beach restaurant manager is recovering after two people who "dined and dashed" slammed a car into him when he confronted them to pay, NBC4 reports.

Restaurant security video shows the manager hopping over a hedge and approaching a couple inside their car. He was trying to get them to pay when the couple crashed the car into him in the parking lot at Ragin Cajun Cafe, 525 S Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach.

"They ordered a few items, about $90 worth of food, and soon after they asked for some to-go containers and they asked for their check," Lisa Hodges, Ragin Cajun Cafe co-owner, told NBC4.

The restaurant is known for its large portions, Hodges added.

Police have not released images or further information about the suspects. The suspects were not immediately arrested.
