Divers Find Body Of Redondo Beach Boy, 17, In Lake Havasu

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Divers recovered the body of a Redondo Beach teenager who went missing Wednesday during a boating incident on Lake Havasu in Arizona, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said Saturday.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. Friday, the body of Adam Gomez, 17, was located by divers just south of Thompson Bay in approximately 23 feet of water, the officials said.

"This case is actively under investigation by members of the MCSO Division of Boating Safety," according to a statement from agency's Facebook page. "The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Lake Havasu City Police Department for their assistance in dive operations and overall continued partnership. We wish to expresses our deepest condolences to the family."
