Dog Walk Benefits Cancer Survivors

A group dog walk benefiting the Cancer Support Community - Redondo Beach attracts many participants.

More than 100 dogs and their owners showed up to strut their stuff around and on the Esplanade on Saturday morning to raise money for the in the annual Fido & Friends Walk.

Local dog-related businesses and foundations—such as and Love on 4 Paws—as well as a member of the Torrance Police Department's K-9 Unit and a representative for , showed up to support the dog walkers, talk about their organizations and hand out samples. A Girl Scout troop from sold doughnuts, water and lemonade, and Jamba Juice sold mini-smoothies.

Dogs and their owners also participated in lookalike and best costume contests.
