Galleria to Host Fashion's Night Out

We've got the lowdown on the best places to celebrate Thursday night's dedication to fashion.

Instead of trekking to New York for the ultra-glamorous Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday, South Bay fashionistas can visit Redondo Beach or neighboring Manhattan Beach for the annual shopping extravaganza.

Shops in both towns (yes, we're still talkin' Manhattan Beach, not Manhattan) will offer sneak peeks of the latest fall trends, decadent food, special discounts and even some bubbly.

The at 1815 Hawthorne Blvd. in Redondo Beach will stay open until 9 p.m. for Fashion’s Night Out special sales and activities. The mall will host demonstrations, including a cooking class from Cafe.

Forever 21 in the mall will host a virtual scavenger hunt for shoppers—to play, a SCVNGR app can download on shopper's Smartphones. Then shoppers must complete a short list of challenges to earn rewards redeemable at the clothing store.

Shoppers who spend $100 or more at Cache in the mall can receive a special gift, and shoppers at Bakers can view the shoe store’s latest fall trends.

If you head over to Manhattan Beach, start Fashion’s Night Out at the store at 1114 Manhattan Ave.

From 6 to 9 p.m. shoppers can sip champagne and nibble sweet treats while browsing the latest looks. Plus, $25 gift cards will be given to shoppers who spend $100 or more.

After you’ve had some fun with Michael Stars head over to at 3200 N. Sepulveda Blvd. From 6 to 9 p.m. shoppers can enter to win a free pair of shoes.

Fashion’s Night Out first launched as an after-hours shopping event in New York City in 2009 as an effort to boost the retail industry, according to the project’s Facebook page.

Now the initiative—a collaboration between Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and the City of New York—has grown to take place in communities around the world.

The night brings together style enthusiasts as stores stay open late to offer special sales, gifts and entertainment.
