Girls Basketball No. 9 in CIF Ranking
The girls basketball squad for Redondo Union High School is 1-0 in Bay League play and 8-8 overall.
The girls basketball team is No. 9 in Division 2AA, according to the results of a CIF Southern Section coaches' poll released Monday.
The results of the coaches' poll were followed by Tuesday's 49-38 win over Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. Redondo is now 1-0 in Bay League play and 8-8 overall.
This year's squad features five new starters, as last year's Bay League-winning starting unit graduated.

Redondo's boys basketball, girls water polo, boys soccer and girls soccer teams were not ranked in their respective coaches' polls.
