Handgun Stolen From Car, Lifted Legos: Redondo Beach Crime Blotter

The crime blotter covers incidents in Redondo Beach from Oct. 20-26.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Redondo Beach Police Department crime blotter.

Commercial Burglary

  • Oct. 21-22, 2023 - 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 a.m. - 900 block of Knob Hill Avenue - Five pieces of jewelry were stolen from a locked room at a store, according to RBPD. Police are unsure how suspects got into the room and no additional suspect information was available.

Residential Burglary

  • Oct. 25, 2023 - 7:50 a.m. to 9:14 a.m. - 2100 block of Marshallfield Lane - Two men were arrested after an attempted robbery. Police said the glass by the side doors was broken, but nothing was stolen.
  • Oct. 21-22, 2023 - 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.- 200 block of Avenue D - An electric XP Trike bike, two baskets, two drink coolers, a bicycle lock and an Ivation camp shower were reported stolen from an empty garage, police said. No suspect information was available.

Taken From Vehicle

  • Oct. 23-24, 2023 - 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. - 1500 block of Wollacott Street - A Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus 9mm handgun was reported stolen from an unlocked white 2019 Mazda CX-5. No suspect information was available.
  • Oct. 22-23, 2023 - 2:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. - 2500 block of 184th Street - Two suspects got into an unlocked Chevrolet Silverado and reportedly stole Lego pieces, sunglasses, a Kate Spade wallet and a WEX gas card.
  • Oct. 22-23, 2023 - 3 p.m. to 8:45 a.m. - 1400 block of Ford Avenue - A suspect broke into an unlocked vehicle, though nothing was reported stolen, according to police.
  • Oct. 22, 2023 - 10:50 p.m. to 10:55 p.m. - 2500 block of 185th Street - Cash and sunglasses were stolen from two unlocked vehicles, according to police. The two male suspects were seen driving a gray Honda sedan, RBPD said.
  • Oct. 21, 2023 - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. - 200 block of Flagler Lane - A wallet containing an ID card, health card and credit cards were reported stolen from a possibly unlocked gray 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, authorities said.
  • Oct. 21-26 - Redondo Beach - During the reporting period, four catalytic converters were stolen from various locations throughout the city.
