Join A Catalytic Converter Etching Event With Redondo Police

Redondo Police Department will host a catalytic converter etching event in response to the increased catalytic converter thefts in the area.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Catalytic converter thefts are on the rise in the Southland and Redondo Beach police are inviting the public to help protect their vehicles.

Redondo Beach Police Department will host a catalytic converter etching event Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Redondo Beach Police Annex, 200 N Pacific Coast Hwy.

The catalytic converter etching allows law enforcement to connect the catalytic converter to the original owner in the event it is stolen, according to Redondo Beach police.

Reservations are not required. The event is open to only Redondo Beach residents. People who attend must show proof of residency at the event, including ID and vehicle registration.
