Man Fatally Shot In South Bay

Sheriff's Department officials said the man was pronounced dead at the scene in Torrance.

TORRANCE, CA — A man was fatally shot in the South Bay Tuesday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

According to homicide detectives, the shooting was reported at about 10:13 a.m. in the 23100 block of South Mariposa Avenue in Torrance. Deputies responded to the scene at about 1 p.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
