Naja's Place Kicks Off IPA Beer Festival Thursday
The Naja's Fifth-Annual IPA Festival will feature more than 70 different India Pale Ales for the hoppy beer lover.
Naja's Place, one of Redondo Beach's original craft beer bars, will kick off its fifth-annual IPA festival beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday.
The festival will celebrate all things hoppy and will feature more than 70 India Pale Ales (IPAs) on tap over the course of the next week, Naja's said.
Beers that will be featured on tap include some hard to find beers including Russian River Pliney the Elder, Dogfish Head's 120 Minute IPA and Bootleggers Knuckle Sandwich.
In addition to the 70 beers on tap, Naja's also has four casks of beer that they will tap during the festival.

El Segundo Brewing | El Segundo
Grand Hill IPA Release | Friday, Aug. 9 | 5 p.m.On Friday night, El Segudno will release their brand new IPA – Grand Hill IPA. Named after the hill you have to slog back up from El Porto (since it is precisely what you'll be looking for after a day in the surf and sun) and a 1/4 mile climb straight back up to town. Nothing but base malt, big bitternessand a heavy dose of Amarillo and Centenniel hops make this India Pale Ale a nod to what has made the California IPA what it is today. Bright presence of lemon zest in the aroma leads well into a base of pine and citrus in the palette.
On Friday, the brewery will also be tapping its very last kegs of Two 5 Left Double IPA for pint pours only.
On cask we will be a double dry hopped pale ale with experimental hop ariety HBC 430. Notes of strawberry and melon. Additionally on tap the Friday:

- Blue House IPA
- Blue House Citra Pale
- Standard Crude American Imperial Stout

Experimental Friday | Friday, Aug. 9 | 4-9 p.m.
While the cat's away....the boys make a 3 day IPA
Laurie is out of town for a short visit with her new niece, Piper, and the boys have conjured up something unprecedented. Porter, Chris and Mike are pilot brewing an IPA today(Tuesday) that will be served on Friday. Yes, you heard that correctly...a three day beer.
Porter says this is an experiment...If you come in on Thursday, you'll see the beer still fermenting on the bar. Thursday night, they crash it, Friday carbonate and TAP at 4pm!
Sundays in the Tap Room | Sunday, Aug. 11 | noon - 6 p.m.
Summer is here and you need beer! So....we're launching our Sundays in the Taproom with a super special cellared release...Bourbon Barrel-Aged O.E. 13% abv.
This Sunday from 12-6pm, Porter will be pouring a 5gal keg of Bourbon Barrel-Aged O.E. This beer brought out the masses at Beer Belly last year for our Sippin' on O.E. event, and it is our highest ranked beer on Beer Advocate with a score of 91 out of 100. Barrel-Aged for 14 months, this English Barleywine has a rich aroma consisting of big notes of bourbon and vanilla, caramel, oak and toffee, and an earthy hop component. For 13%, this beer puts the "S" in Smooth.
Your next chance to try the O.E. will be during LA Beer Week so don't wait around! Come in and help us kick off our first Sunday.
