REDONDO BEACH, CA — Chick-fil-A is opening a new drive-thru location in Redondo Beach, and will be bringing 70 new jobs with it. The second Redondo Beach location will open Sept. 12, with local Chick-fil-A South Bay Operator Jeremy Simpson as franchise owner.
Simpson will oversee day-to-day activities of the business, employing approximately 200 full- and part-time team members between his two restaurants, the Chick-fil-A press release said.
The drive-thru restaurant will be located at 1919 Artesia Boulevard and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It will feature double-ordering lanes merging into a single payment lane with face-to-face ordering to increase the speed through the drive-thru, two walk-up ordering windows and a 24-seat patio, the press release said.

Simpson was chosen as a Chick-fil-A Operator and opened his first restaurant on Sept. 3, 2009. He worked for the company during college, and now joins a small percentage of Chick-fil-A Operators who own more than one location. He transferred to the South Bay restaurant in 2017, and also serves as Operator consultant to the restaurant at Los Angeles International Airport, the press release said.
"Everything we do in our restaurant is to please our guests with acts of service and kindness," said Simpson. "That care and commitment extends outside into our community, especially with opportunities around youth initiatives."
