Photos: City Celebrates 120th Birthday

Redondo Beach—the oldest city in the South Bay—marks its 120th birthday with a barbecue at Heritage Court.

The sun shined and a light breeze filled the air as Redondo Beach residents celebrated the city's 120th birthday Sunday at Heritage Court next to Dominguez Park.

Mayor Mike Gin, Councilman Pat Aust, City Manager Bill Workman, firefighters from Fire Station No. 1 and other city dignitaries attended the event, which featured hot dogs, birthday cake, unguided tours of the Historical Society's Museum and a classic car show.
