TORRANCE, CA — Police are seeking the public's help in finding the driver in a hit-and-run crash in Torrance earlier this month that left a pedestrian dead, police said in a statement Tuesday.
It's unclear how the crash happened, but the Torrance Police Department said earlier this month that a pedestrian fell off a curb in the Pacific Coast Highway lanes near Ocean Avenue on April 19 and was struck by at least one vehicle.
The pedestrian died at the scene from their injuries, police said. The pedestrian's identity was not immediately released as the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office works to notify their relatives.
