Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver

Police are looking for a woman involved in a hit-and-run collision Monday evening.

Officers from the are seeking the public's help in their search for a woman involved in a hit-and-run collision Monday night.

The woman, who witnesses said was white and had brown hair, was driving a white SUV with partial license plate No. 5LUX when she rear-ended another vehicle near the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Avenue C in South Redondo Beach shortly before 9:15 p.m., according to traffic unit acting Sgt. Jeffrey Mendence.

"Her vehicle may have damage to the front end," Mendence said.

The driver and a passenger in the vehicle that was hit suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Mendence said. They were not transported to a hospital.

Anyone with information on the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle should contact the Redondo Beach Police Department's traffic unit at 310-379-2477 ext. 2359.
