In order to complete the Blue Zones Community Policy Pledge, the city must have a comprehensive smoke-free policy in all indoor workplaces and public places, as well as either adopt a policy to address smoke-free multi-unit housing or establish a comprehensive smoke-free policy in all outdoor workplaces and public places. Banning smoking on the pier and in municipal areas of King Harbor would accomplish the latter.
