Recipes: Margaritas for Cinco De Mayo

With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, here are some killer margarita recipes to spice up your fiesta.

Whether you’re a cork dork or a beer fanatic, nothing beats a margarita on Cinco de Mayo!

Here are five takes on the classic concoction from BevMo's cocktail experts:

PERFECT MARGARITA

  • 1 ounce El Jimador Reposado Tequila
  • 3 ounces Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita Mix
  • 1 wedge lime
  • Salt for the rim

Rub rim of a chilled margarita glass with the lime wedge. Dip into salt to coat. Combine tequila and margarita mix in a shaker with ice. Shake, shake, shake. Strain into a margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

CUERVO GOLDEN MARGARITA

  • 1 ounce Jose Jose Cuervo Reposado Tequila
  • 3 ounces Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita Mix
  • 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 1 wedge lime
  • Salt for the rim

Rub rim of a chilled margarita glass with the lime wedge. Dip into salt to coat. Combine tequila, Grand Marnier and margarita mix in a shaker with ice. Shake, shake, shake. Strain into a margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

POMEGRANATE LIME MARTINI

  • 1 1/2 ounces 1800 Silver Tequila
  • 3 ounces Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita Mix
  • 2 ounces Langers Pomegranate Juice
  • 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier
  • 1 wheel of lime or lemon
  • Salt for the rim

Rub rim of a chilled martini glass with the lime wedge. Dip into salt to coat. Combine tequila, Grand Marnier and margarita mix in a shaker with ice. Shake, shake, shake. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge or lemon wheel.

LA PALOMA SUPREMA

  • 1/2 ounce Don Julio Reposado Tequila
  • 4 ounces Squirt Grapefruit soda
  • 1 wedge lime
  • Salt for the rim

Add tequila and grapefruit soda in salt-rimmed, ice-filled highball glass.  Garnish with a lime wedge.

EL DIABLO

  • 1 1/2 ounces Cazadores Reposado Tequila
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice
  • 1 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • Splash of ginger ale
  • 1 wedge of lime

Fill a high-ball or rocks glass with ice. Add tequila, cranberry juice, lime juice, simple syrup. Stir gently. Top with splash of ginger ale. Garnish with a lime wedge.
