Redondo Beach Ballroom Dance Champ Collects Phones to Help Soldiers Connect with Loved Ones
Those who donated a cell phone will also receive a free private ballroom dance lesson.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- A local ballroom dance studio owner wants to help military members staying connected this holiday season by holding a cell phone drive
Izabella Olszewska, the owner of Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Redondo Beach, is partnering with Cell Phones for Soldiers, a nonprofit that provides free communication services and emergency funding to military members, to serve as a cell phone donation site.
Those who donated a cell phone will also receive a free private ballroom dance lesson with Olszewska or one of her instructors.

“Helping our military connect with their family, especially during the holiday season, is such a wonderful mission for our team at Fred Astaire Dance Studio,” Olszewska said. “We are excited to use our art to encourage the local community to participate.”
Olszewska have won several winning local, national and world championship titles as an amateur and professional ballroom dancer.

Cell Phones For Soldiers has provided more than 220 million minutes of free talk time to U.S. troops serving around the world through the “Minutes That Matter” program. Its “Helping Heroes Home” program have assisted more than 2,800 veterans with emergency funds for communications or other hardships.
Cell phones may be donated at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio, 1650 S. Pacific Coast Highway, from now until Friday, Dec. 16 during normal business hours.
