Operational challenges pushed the grand opening of rink, which is sponsored by the Los Angeles Kings, to Sunday.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- The opening of the Redondo Beach ice-skating rink, which was supposed to be Friday, has been pushed back to Sunday, the Los Angeles Kings announced.
Operational challenges pushed the grand opening of rink, which is sponsored by the Kings, to Sunday. For the past nine years, the Kings have sponsored the L.A. Live skating rink in downtown Los Angeles. This year, the team is extending its sponsorship to four other locations throughout the Southland, including Redondo Beach.
The Redondo Beach ice rink will be located at King Harbor, just north of the pier, and opened from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $`17 per person with part of the proceeds going to the Redondo Beach Police Foundation. The rink will open through Jan. 8 and available for private parties.
