Redondo Beach Still No. 3 in Water Challenge
The city has remained in the No. 3 slot for most of the competition, though it's occasionally slipped to No. 4 and risen to No. 2.

Redondo Beach remains No. 3 in the Wyland Foundation's Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation. Neighboring city Hermosa Beach is once again No. 1, and Vernon, a city with a population of less than 100, is No. 2.
The regional competition ranks cities based on the highest percentage of residents who take the online Water Challenge pledge to save water and reduce waste.
Each participant who takes the pledge clicks through lists of water-saving tips, such as using refillable water bottles or washing only full loads of laundry.
