Redondo Beach Woman: Sears Gave Me a Mini-Fridge to Replace my Broken Fridge
The fridge was still under warranty.

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Is your refrigerator running? That may be a clichéd joke, but for a Redondo Beach woman, it's more a nightmare.
After her refrigerator, which is under extended warranty with Sears, died, Rosalie Flores said the company tried to stick her with mini-fridge instead, according to NBC4.
Flores paid about $100 a year for Sears' extended warranty on her Frigidaire refrigerator. When her refrigerator broke down four times in a year, she said the company gave her a mini-fridge as a replacement, NBC4 reported.

Under California's Lemon Law, Flores is entitled to a comparable replacement for her refrigerator, and a mini-fridge was not comparable, she said.
