Redondo Union 10th Grade English Summer Reading Lists

Sophomores enrolled in both college prep and honors English at Redondo Union High School have summer reading assignments.

All sophomores enrolled in English classes at have summer reading assignments, according to reading lists posted on the Redondo Union website.

College prep sophomores are encouraged to read one or two books by the start of the school year. As an incentive, students who do their summer reading will get extra credit on a class assignment during the first week of school.

Sophomores in English pre-Advanced Placement (honors) classes must read All Quiet on the Western Front and Night, as well as complete an assignment due Aug. 28 (the first day of school) for credit.

The assignment should be typed, single-spaced and in 12-point font. See attached .pdf for the questions and the complete assignment.

Sophomores are also encouraged to study grammar and brush up on their writing style. The attached .pdf has suggestions.
