Redondo's Beaches Get A's, B's

The shoreline along Redondo Beach fares well in the latest round of water-quality testing by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Water samples at Redondo's beaches received good grades in the latest round of testing from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, according to the department's website.

The beaches in front of the Herondo Street storm drain and on the north side of the Topaz Street jetty both received "A" grades, according to the DPH website.

The beach in Hermosa 50 yards north of the Herondo Street storm drain received a "B," as did the beach 50 yards south of the Redondo Beach Pier.

Torrance Beach in front of the Avenue I storm drain received an "A."
