HAWTHORNE, CA — An off-duty security guard was shot in the stomach and killed in the parking lot of a South Bay restaurant early Wednesday morning, according to reports.

The Hawthorne Police Department told Fox 11 that the victim, who was identified as Eddie McAllister by family members, was involved in a fight with another man at about 2 a.m.

Video of the scene shows McAllister wrestling with the suspect on the ground outside of Fabulous Charbroiled Burgers at 3301 Rosecrans Ave. The surveillance footage then shows the suspect pulling out a gun and shooting McAllister.
