Sophie's Place Has City's Best Burger

The best burger in Redondo Beach can be found at , a gastropub in Riviera Village. In fact, the top three places to find a great burger in Redondo Beach are all in South Redondo.

While took a runaway lead in this week's poll, Sophie's Place squeaked out a victory in two other categories: comments and reviews.

"Sophie's Place, hands down," wrote commenter Andrew Preston. "I won't even describe it because I am not Hemingway, Mozart (or) van Gogh and wouldn't give it justice."

Nevertheless, fans had good things to say about The Standing Room, too.

"Every … individual item in whatever recipe they have is soooo good," wrote commenter Felicia Lopez. "Where can you find Thai crab mayo? Tomato jam? Short rib on a burger topped with bacon and fried egg? … These are only a few of the many reasons why I love the Standing Room. They always get a portion of my paycheck every month."

Whether it's one of The Standing Room's gourmet creations, Sophie's Place's S-Lamb or 's Andrew Jackson, burger lovers really can't go wrong.
