South Bay Shooting Kills 1, Injures Another
Sheriff's deputies sought the public's help provide information about the shooting that occurred Monday night in Hawthorne.
HAWTHORNE, CA — A man was shot to death and another was injured in a shooting in Hawthorne Monday night, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
Police received a report of the shooting at about 8 p.m. in the 13400 block of Kornblum Avenue. When deputies arrived, they found two Black men with gunshot wounds.
Paramedics responded to the scene and declared one of the men dead due to his injuries. The other man was taken to a local hospital to treat his wound and was listed in stable condition, LASD said.

Deputies said there are no suspects at this time and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing and no additional information was available.
