Tejava Recalls 12-oz Iced Tea Bottles

Tejava recalls 12-ounce bottles of its iced tea because they may contain fragments of glass.

Thirteen production lots of 12-ounce glass bottles of Tejava Premium Iced Tea are being recalled across the country because they might have glass fragments inside, according to a news release from the Food and Drug Administration.

The glass fragments could be harmful if swallowed; however, no injuries have been reported.

The lot codes are for cases with UPC 6-54871-24901-2, four-packs with UPC 6-54871-04901-1 and single bottles with UPC 6-54871-00901-5.

One-liter bottles of Tejava Premium Iced Tea are not affected by the recall.

Consumers can find the production lot codes on the back of the bottle label and on the case tray's long panel.

People who purchased the recalled products should return the bottles to the store they bought them from. The store will issue coupons, replace the product or issue a credit.

Stores in Redondo Beach that sell Tejava are Albertsons, , , , , and Vons.
