Two Men Found Dead On Beach In Torrance

A woman told reporters she and a friend discovered the bodies while jogging on the beach Friday morning.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Two men were found dead on a beach in Torrance Friday morning, Redondo Beach Police told Patch.

The bodies were found just after 7 a.m. on the beach near Via Riviera and Paseo De La Play, but there was no immediate word on how they died, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The immediate area around the Torrance Beach will be closed for the duration of the investigation, Torrance police said. There are no expected street closures, and vehicular traffic should not be impacted, police said.

Autopsies were pending to determine the cause of death, and neither of the two have been identified, although reports from the scene indicated the men appeared to be in their 30s.
