Though it's still summer, the first day of school is just around the corner for Redondo Beach students.

The first day of school for all schools in Redondo Beach Unified School District is scheduled for Aug. 27. Here are some other important back-to-school dates at local schools. (This information is provided as a courtesy. Because some of the information below is subject to change, please double-check with the school before finalizing your plans.)

Redondo Union High School
1 Sea Hawk Way, South Redondo Beach

  • 12th-grade registration: Aug. 14, 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • 11th-grade registration: Aug. 14, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • 10th-grade registration: Aug. 15, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Ninth-grade registration: Aug. 16, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Make-up registration: Aug. 21, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 
  • New student registration: By appointment only

Redondo Shores High School
1000 Del Amo St., South Redondo Beach

  • Last name starts with A-L registration: Aug. 20, 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Last name starts with M-Z registration: Aug. 20, 10:45 a.m. to noon.
  • Make-up registration: Aug. 21, all day

Parras Middle School 
200 N. Lucia Ave., South Redondo Beach

  • Eighth-grade registration: Aug. 20, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Seventh-grade registration: Aug. 21, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Sixth-grade registration: Aug. 22, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Camp Parras (for all new incoming students): Aug. 22, noon to 4 p.m.

Adams Middle School
2600 Ripley Ave., North Redondo Beach
